Just under 2 miles away, Newton Stewart offers a good choice of shops, inns and restaurants as well as an indoor swimming pool and sports centre. Within easy reach, and known for its mild climate, is the picturesque Solway coast, with its quiet sandy beaches, charming villages, and fascinating historical and archaelogical sites such as St Ninian's Cave on Burrow Head. This lovely area offers plenty of opportunities for wonderful walking, cycling and the Galloway Forest Park, with its abundant wildlife, lies close by. Excellent golf with 10 courses within 25 miles. Horse riding and fishing can all be enjoyed locally. |
